Jennifer enjoys taking a patient-centered approach to health care that is respectful and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs, and that ensures patient values guide all clinical decisions. She believes wholeheartedly that patients who are active participants in the development of their therapeutic plan feel more in control of their own well-being and are more likely to make sustained lifestyle changes to improve their health.
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Masters of Nursing from Arkansas Tech. She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Arkansas State University. While practicing in a Family Practice setting Jennifer began to notice conventional medical treatments often consisted of expensive pharmaceuticals that must be taken indefinitely, that do not address the underlying problem, yet merely suppress the symptoms. This led to a search for a more superior way of treating patients that led her to functional medicine. She enjoys working with clients to uncover the root causes driving disease and find treatments that help return patients to optimal health. She has completed extensive education through the Institute of Functional Medicine and is in the process of completing her certification.
